Eligibility & Essential Information

Open to all regional artists
-
1-2 entries per artist, works not exceeding 48 inches in height or width
-
2 dimensional works, drawings, painting, prints, mix-media, collage, and photography
-
All works must be original
-
Presentation must be clean, presentable & wired for hanging

Works must be properly labeled on the back with artist’s name, title of work, medium, & price
-
Labels to be attached to back of artwork are located below
Completed inventory labels (included in the registration form file linked below)for gallery use must accompany all works

Final hanging decisions will be left to the gallery committee

Artwork not following requirements will not be displayed

Delivery of artwork with completed registration form and labels -
Sat. Oct. 26th & Sun. Oct. 27th 10am-12pm

Opening & Reception Event (guests and the public are welcome!) - Sunday, Nov. 3rd from 3-5pm
The exhibit will run from November 3, 2024 through April 2025.

Any works sold during exhibit need to remain in show or be promptly replaced by the artist

The artist is solely responsible for handling sales
Gallery Presentation & Framing Policies:
Work should not exceed 48 inches in height or width.
Works on Paper

All works on paper should be framed and matted, or lifted away from the glass with matting or spacers.

Frames and mats must be clean and undamaged.

At delivery all works must be wired and ready to hang.

Saw tooth hangers, pop-in frames, free standing frames NOT accepted.
Works on Canvas

Works on canvas do not need to be framed as long as sides of canvas are clean, or finished with a strip of frame.

Surface and corners should be taut, wrinkle-free, and free of visible threads or staples.

At delivery all works must be wired and ready to hang.

All works must be completely dry.
Works on Other
Works on Artboard, Masonite, wood, glass, metal, photography, etc. must follow the above requirements.
Liability
The Medallion Opera House/Town of Gorham will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any artwork from any cause regardless of fault. Submitting artwork indicates agreement to these terms by the artist.
